Remote Education a great benefit for Remote Education: IT expert

The National Broad band Network of Australia has proposed to expand its broadband network with $43 billion to provide remote education. The Northern territory would experience vast benefits with the upgrade of the broadband services said Gould, Director of Information Technology, Charles Darwin University.

Mr.Gould also said that, “To be kind to the current system, we’ve essentially been operating with technology worthy of the Dark Ages,” He also added that, “An upgrade of current limited bandwidth in the Territory has been long overdue, and will essentially bring us on to a level playing field with other states and universities.”The Governments $25 million for implementation broadband services will create a turning point around the country.

University main markets were overseas and interstate and this upgrading will result in great benefits to online education said Mr.Gould. He also quoted that, “The possibilities surrounding online education and the delivery of remote education to communities in the NT will be multiplied tenfold, it’s an upgrade we desperately need and one that should have the support of every IT enthusiast in the country.”

Nokia-Siemens High Speed Broadband Network

Nokia Siemens network has planned to provide faster broadband experience to all its users. They are one of the leaders in offering global telecommunications. Currently these companies have planned to transform the mobile users experience in the Middle East Africa (MEA) to provide faster data with rich applications and multimedia.

What’s more the Nokia Siemens Networks LTE proposition is based on software upgrades to current 3G networks that are currently deployed by a majority of regional mobile operators”

4 G Wireless Service by Time Warner, Comcast Corp

4G wireless broadband service will be provided by Comcast Corp and Time Warner Cable. Sprint Nextel is vague about the offers and plans provided by them. The cable firms will roll out the fourth generation wireless technology along with their other products.

Spokesman for the Time Warner Matt said, “The service will be available through the receivers that would attach to computers’ USB ports.” The company will provide 4G wireless along with its cable television, digital phone services and road runner internet acess.

Same as sprint, Time Warner and Comcast are the major investors in Clearwire Corp which will be rolling out 4G to the country. 4G technology or WiMax will be ten times faster than the current 3G networks. Sprint, Time Warner and Comcast will sell out the devices 3G and 4G to customers where Wimax signal doesn’t reach

Tel Italia to Boost Broadband Service

The three leaders in Broadband Vodafone, mobile Operator Wind and Fastweb the broadband service provider have planned to reach millions of home within the next 5 years. In the meantime former fixed lime monopoly of Italy Telecom Italia has come up with new plans to provide faster broadband services to fifteen cities in Italy. They have fixed a €2.5bn plan to boost up the service in these cities. Franco the former chief of Telecom Italia said that, “We are ready to face that competition and to respond aggressively”

Naguib Sawiris Egyptian entrepreneur and the owner of the wind said that, charges by Telecom Italia are too high and he also questioned on the quality of the network’s infrastructure. Vodafone’s Chief executive Vittorio told that, regulators to consider and intervene in the European union countries where former fixed line monopoly Telecom Italia failed to  offer high speed broadband networks.
