O2 topper in providing Cheapest Broadband in UK

Are you weary of paying your landline and broadband bills separately? Mobile phone giant O2 has come with a combo plan in which you can pay off the landline and broadband in a single bill. The cheapest of the plans within UK was launched last week by the mobile phone giant o2. By paying just £17 for a month, it will provide both landline and phone package, along with an 8mb broadband it includes the free calls in evening and weekends. Most people opted for a £20 deal which includes calling facility to landlines and 0845 numbers. In addition you can call to twenty popular destinations all over the world.

According to o2 this plan is available to anyone with a BT line, also Sky and TalkTalk customers can switch based upon their local exchange. Households must have to be an o2 mobile customer to get these prices. Those who are in contract can access the deal, and regular users of pay-as-you-go have to regularly top up £10 every three months while non-o2 users have to pay £5 for a month.

O2 plans are going to cause shockwaves in UK, unlike most other internet packages o2 plans doesn’t have a download limits. Till now TalkTalk was the cheapest home broadband service providers in UK, with £18.48 and with a add up off £4 for unlimited calls per month.

Communication expert at uSwitch.com said that, “O2 has been voted best broadband provider for the last two years in our independent Customer Satisfaction Awards.”

The monthly broadband speed testing result was released by the broadband speed comparison site broadband.co.uk.  Comparison of speed was done among the top players in broadband sector. The result by the site showed that the speed of broadband connectivity has increased from 4.527Mbps in March to 4.958 Mbps in April, for the first time it tipped off nearly to 5Mbps.
The fore runners were Virgin media and o2, both of them showed a significant increase in the speed of the broadband. Performance of Virgin leaped from 8.192Mbps in March to 9.373Mbps in April, at the same time o2 jumped from 5.35Mbps to 5.65Mbps.

Broadband users Payless for faster Speeds

According to a recent report Broadband users pay a very less amount for higher speeds and unlimited connectivity, but still most of the customers were unhappy with the service. Speed of the broadband service has been increased by 33% while the bills have been cut down to 4%. Based upon the switch Broadband customer Satisfaction report, only six out of ten users are contented with the broadband service providers
Based upon the poll report with nearly 7,500 customers the average bill has lowered from £175 to £167, also there was an increase in speed from 4.2Mb to 5.7Mb
Satisfaction of customers during the poll has climbed from two percent to seventy nine percent, but only sixty two percent of them were fully satisfied.
O2 has been voted as the best service provider by the customers for the second year, while ninety two percent of the customers are generally satisfied.

BT, Orange and AOL attained the overall customer satisfaction for the second consecutive year. With seventy percent of overall satisfaction Orange became the worst service provider.
With value for money O2 scored the highest with ninety three percent while with sixty three percent BT scored the worst.
Satisfaction of the customers with the overall speed of the broadband dropped from 73% to 71%. More than half of the customers (i.e.) 49% of them were placed on the best fitting broadband plan.
